A MIDDLE-AGED father was found dead at home after sniffing lighter fluid, an inquest heard.
Warehouse manager Leslie Ball, aged 51, of Barmeston Road, Catford, was discovered by his daughter with a plastic bag tied loosely around his neck.
Southwark Coroner's Court heard Mr Ball, who had no history of depression or solvent abuse, was in his bedroom lying next to a disposable lighter with leaking fluid.
Pathologist Peter Jerreat said death was caused by asphyxia and coroner Selena Lynch recorded a verdict of accidental death.
