A man in his 40s has died after falling ill on a busy road in central London.
The incident happened in Kensington High Street just after 12.45pm today (June 25).
Officers, London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade were called to the scene.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.
Police enquiries are underway to notify his next of kin.
At this stage, the death is being treated as unexpected but is not thought to be suspicious.
A file will be prepared for the coroner.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 12:48hrs on Tuesday, 25 June to reports of a man taken ill at Kensington High Street, W8.
“Officers, London Ambulance Service, and London Fire Brigade attended.
"At the scene a man, aged 40s, had collapsed and had sadly died at the scene.
“Enquiries are underway to notify next of kin.
“At this stage the death is being treated as unexpected but is not thought to be suspicious.
“A file will be prepared for the Coroner.”
