Some Southeastern trains will be cancelled, diverted or replaced by buses this weekend as Londoners enjoy the Spring Bank Holiday.

The changes will take place from Saturday, May 25 through to Monday, May 27.

We have compiled a full list of the works taking place so that you can plan your journey.

Amended services via Denmark Hill (Saturday, May 25 - Monday, May 27)

Engineering work is taking place between Brixton and Nunhead / Ravensbourne, closing various lines.

Southeastern:

Bexleyheath Line: Trains between London Victoria and Dartford will not run. Additional trains will run between London Cannon Street and Dartford via Bexleyheath. 

Sole Street line: Trains between London Victoria and Gillingham (Saturday) / Dover Priory (Sunday) via Denmark Hill will run non-stop between London Victoria and Bromley South. 

Saturday and Monday only: The 09:10, 10:10 and 11:10 London Victoria to Dover Priory and 17:18, 18:18 & 19:18 Dover Priory to London Victoria services will be diverted to run to / from Ramsgate. 

Connecting trains will run between Faversham and Dover Priory. 

Ticket Acceptance: 

You can use the following alternative services at no extra cost:

Thameslink accessible replacement buses between Herne Hill and Beckenham Junction via Denmark Hill and Catford.

London Underground between Victoria, Charing Cross, Embankment, Cannon Street, London Bridge, Southwark and Waterloo.

London Bus routes P12, 78 and 484 between Denmark Hill and Lewisham.

Thameslink:

Thameslink trains to / from Sevenoaks / Orpington will run to an amended timetable, and will be diverted to run via Herne Hill, Kent House and Beckenham Junction (calling at all these stations).

Replacement buses will run between Herne Hill and Bromley South, calling at all stations via Catford except Nunhead and Ravensbourne.

These buses will also call at Beckenham Junction.

For Nunhead, passengers can use London Bus route P12 and for Ravensbourne, you can use London Bus route 354.

Buses replace trains between Gravesend and Rochester (Saturday, May 25 - Monday, May 27)

Engineering work is taking place between Gravesend and Higham, closing all lines.

Southeastern:

Highspeed trains via Gravesend: Trains between London St Pancras International and Ramsgate via Gravesend will only run between London St Pancras International and Gravesend.

Accessible replacement buses will run between:

  • Gravesend and Rochester calling at Strood only (buses towards Rochester will continue to Gillingham)
  • Gravesend and Strood calling at Higham (minibus)

Thameslink:

No Thameslink trains will run between Gravesend and Strood. Trains will run between Strood and Gillingham / Rainham and on Saturday and Monday, a reduced train service will run between London and Gravesend.

Passengers can use Southeastern replacement buses between Gravesend and Strood.

Additionally on Sunday only, no Thameslink trains will run between London and Plumstead.

Passengers can use Thameslink tickets on Southeastern trains between London Cannon Street and Plumstead, and paper tickets on Elizabeth line services between Abbey Wood and Farringdon.

No Southeastern services to / from London Charring Cross / Waterloo East / Hayes (Sunday, May 26)

Engineering work is taking place between London Bridge and London Charing Cross, closing all lines.

London Charing Cross and Waterloo East will be closed all day.

Paddock Wood Line: Trains between London Charing Cross and Ramsgate / Dover Priory via Tonbridge will run to and from London Cannon Street.

Hastings Line: Trains between London Charing Cross and Hastings will run to / from London Cannon Street.

Grove Park Line: Trains between London Charing Cross and Sevenoaks via Grove Park will run to / from London Cannon Street.

Sidcup Line: Trains which usually run between London Charing Cross and Dartford will run to and from London Cannon Street and will be extended to Gravesend. Trains which usually run between Charing Cross and Gravesend will not run.

Hayes Line:

Trains that usually run between London Charing Cross and Hayes will be amended to run between London Cannon Street and Beckenham Junction.

Replacement buses will run between Beckenham Junction and Hayes via Clock House, calling at all stations between Clock House and Hayes.

Ticket Acceptance:

You can use London Underground between Victoria, Charing Cross, Embankment, Waterloo, Southwark, Cannon Street and London Bridge at no extra cost.

London Buses routes:

  • P12, 78 and 484 between Denmark Hill and Lewisham
  • 21, 225 and 273 between New Cross, Lewisham and Hither Green
  • Docklands Light Railway between Lewisham and Greenwich

CANCELLED: Engineering work between Lewisham and Hither Green / Ladywell (Monday, May 27)

The engineering work scheduled to take place between Lewisham and Hither Green / Ladywell has been cancelled and trains will now run normally on this route.
