Rooftop Film Club, Peckham

Where? Bussey Building, 133 Rye Lane, Peckham, London SE15 4ST

When? Currently on until June 29

How much? Tickets range from £12.95 to £24.95 for adults and £5.95 for children.

Returning to Peckham for another year is the popular Rooftop Film Club located on the Bussey Building.

Here you’ll find amazing views of the London skyline, where you’ll be able to relax on deckchairs under warm blankets and watch films with a pair of noise-cancelling headphones.

They show a range of films from classics like Jurassic Park to new releases like Ghostbusters: The Frozen Empire, during which cinemagoers can enjoy specially curated slime-themed cocktails.

The cinema is also dog friendly, and you can get food and drinks ordered to your seat, as well as enjoy cocktails and pizza at Share A Slice located next door.

The venue will also be hosting a range of events from captioned performances to a special Wooftop screening of Marley & Me, where dogs will be treated to their own doggie popcorn and a doggie beer.

Adventure Cinema, Charlton House

If you're looking for a but of nostalgia in your films, Adventure Cinema, located within the stunning gardens of Charlton House, will be putting on a three-day cinema featuring classics like Grease, Back to the Future and Dirty Dancing.

You can take a picnic with you to enjoy, and buy hot food and drinks on the night to eat, as you watch your favourite film on a giant cinema screen at this historic 17th century London landmark.

Picturehouse Outdoor Cinema, Greenwich Peninsula

Where? Central Park, Greenwich Peninsula, London, SE10 0PP

When? July 26 – August 4

How much? £17 for adults, £14 for children.

Within a short walk of the O2 and North Greenwich station, this location is the perfect way to spend an evening after a day of sightseeing or shopping.

You can watch a range of films, from classics like Jaws to newer films like Barbie, on a huge cinema screen in Central Park, with views of the Thames.

Visitors are welcome to bring blankets and cushions, with a limited number of deckchairs also available at the event.

There will also be a bar where you can get drinks and snacks or you can also bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks with you, with a variety of food options to be found nearby at the O2.

Summer By The River, London Bridge

Where? The Scoop, London, SE1 2AA

How much? Free

If you’re looking for something a little more central with easy travel links, Summer By The River located in The Scoop is a great place to watch a film with travel links by train and river boat services.

This location offers views of the river Thames and is within the prime location of the South Bank, with its wide array of street food vendors and restaurants.

You can choose between a variety of films, from new releases like Wonka and Barbie to classics like Back to the Future, with film screenings taking place every Tuesday over the summer.
