Salisbury FC put the icing on the cake on a brilliant campaign this season by winning the FSA Away Day Experience of the Year at the Non-League Paper's National Game Awards in association with Isuzu.

The Whites earned acclaim for going above and beyond in welcoming visiting supporters and added another accolade to their collection to go with winning promotion to the National League South via the play-offs this season.

Club director Hilary Bilimore has been with Salisbury since 2018, having previously held secretarial positions at Weymouth and she voiced her pride at the club's efforts in welcoming away supporters.

She said: "We always try to make sure that everybody visits the stadium has a great time. We try to be as welcoming as possible.

"We want people to experience the whole being of the club.

'Everybody just gets on well together and it's great going to a real football club where everybody's included."

With Salisbury set to compete in the National League South next year, the club isn't resting on its laurels in order to deliver their award-winning experience to new sets of fans.

Bilimore added: "In a way, although we've been promoted, I'll miss all the people in the lower leagues, fans, players, officials.

"I'm having a few weeks off at the moment then it's getting to the stadium to make sure everything's spick and span.

"We've got a brilliant team of volunteers who come in every Tuesday and Friday, and they paint, clean up, make alterations, and do all sorts of things.

"They attend to the maintenance of the club and that's all done on a voluntary basis. We are so grateful to them. Without them nothing could happen at Salisbury. We're so proud of them."

Chairman Ian Hammond told The NLP: "We pride ourselves on our hospitality and we like to think that the experience in a bespoke ground – a big ground at our level – is a positive for visiting supporters.

"Our tea huts and bars are very popular, and everyone has a good view of the pitch, which is a big plus. We’ve also got quite a large car park and it was only when we were getting crowds of over one thousand for the last few games that we had to turn people away. Hopefully, we are nice people as well!"

Equipped with a punchy turbo diesel engine, the multi-award-winning Isuzu D-Max pick-up is leading the charge. With towing capabilities of 3.5 tonnes, over one-tonne payload capacity, and Four-Wheel-Drive, our pick-ups are tough, strong, and built to go the distance.
