Multiple people have been taken to hospital after a crash on the M25 between junctions 5 and 6 in the early hours of this morning( April 16).

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 3am today to reports of a crash involving a lorry and two cars between junctions J5 at Chevening and J6 at Godstone.

As a result all four lanes of the M25 clockwise were closed for five hours and were reopened at 7.45am.

Both lanes were also closed on the M25 clockwise entry slip at junction 5, with delays of up to 50 minutes between J5 and J6.

Ambulance crews arrived at the scene and took multiple people to East Surrey Hospital for medical treatment.

Their conditions are currently unknown.

In a statement, a spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance said: “SECAmb were called shortly after 3am this morning to reports of a RTC involving two cars and a lorry.

“Crews arrived on scene and took multiple people to the East Surrey Hospital for further medical treatment.”
