A woman has been “left extremely distressed” after a man masturbated in front of her on a south London Thameslink train.

The incident happened at 11.15pm on February 6 on the Thameslink Service between Tooting and Herne Hill.

A man sat opposite her and began masturbating, causing her extreme distress.

She reported the incident to police who have now released an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with this.

Anyone who recognises the man or has further information contact officers by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 808 of February 6, or inform Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Do you recognise this man?

“Detectives investigating an incident of indecent exposure are today releasing this image in connection.

“At around 11.15pm on Tuesday 6 February a man sat opposite a woman on a Thameslink service between Tooting and Herne Hill and exposed himself and started masturbating.

“The woman was extremely distressed and left her seat to report what had happened.

“If you recognise the man in the image or have any information about the incident, please contact officers by texting 61016, or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 808 of 6 February.

“Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
