An estate agent has highlighted the best things about Sidcup and shared some insight on the popular area within the Bexley borough and what makes it such a desirable place to live.

David Brown, the director at Belvoir estate agents, says that Sidcup, which is located around 12 miles from London’s city centre and within the boundary of the M25, is a hit with city professionals.

He believes that “plenty of transport links" and quick commutes make it particularly favourable, alongside a variety of shopping options that range from high street stores and supermarkets to "cool and quirky independent boutiques."

Properties in Sidcup include a mixture of traditional Victorian and Edwardian homes, augmented by modern apartments and flats.

David explained that the average rent for a one-bedroom flat coming in around £1,250 per month, and a three-bedroom house costing more than £1,800 per month.

He added: “The best place to live in Sidcup depends on individual preferences and needs.”

However, he has noticed that locations including Chislehurst Road, The Hollies, and The Green are remarked for their blend of schools, shopping facilities, and transport connectivity.

He points out that "properties for sale in Sidcup include some traditional period homes commonly associated with London, mainly from the Victorian era."

Sidcup's dominant residential architecture appears to be the large semi-detached homes from the 1930s along with larger detached houses sprinkled throughout the town.

David says that these homes are often snapped up by families.
