A busy road in Beckenham will be shut to all traffic this month for the installation of a new mobile telecoms mast.

Bromley Council has given a notice that Croydon Road will be closed to traffic to allow Sonix Construction Ltd to install a mobile telecoms mast on April 8.

There will be a temporary parking restriction on Croydon Road from the junction of Gowland Place and Belmont Road on both sides of the street whilst works are carried out.

Another temporary parking restriction will be in place in Gowland Place Beckenham from the junction of Croydon Road Beckenham for 15m on both sides of the street.

Until works are finished, no vehicles can wait in Croydon Road Beckenham on either side of the street between the junctions of Gowland Place and Belmont Road, or any other street or part of a street adjacent.

The temporary restrictions will be in place for the day between the hours of 8am until 6pm for the entire works duration.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction on waiting imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986, or by the Council in accordance with the powers conferred upon it.

The Order has no specified finish date but has a maximum duration of 18 months.

Access to homes will be maintained as far as is practicable from either side of the closure.

Emergency access will be available at all times.

The Order does not apply to vehicles being used in connection with the works, police officers in uniforms, or traffic wardens.

If you have any questions regarding these works, contact the Council's Environmental Services Department (Street Services Section) on 020 8461 7507.
