People at the scene have said that drivers and passengers are “leaving” their cars and “walking to McDonalds” from the scene of a serious crash on the A20.
There has been a serious three-vehicle crash on the A20 east between A223 (Sidcup Bromley) and M25/M20 (Swanley) this evening (Wednesday).
The A20 east is now closed to traffic and traffic is being diverted via local routes.
Kent Police, Kent Fire and Rescue, and South East Coast Ambulance service are at the scene.
Despite National Highways confirming that traffic caught within the closure is being "turned and released" via the rear of the queue, drivers are saying there has been “no movement”.
Emergency services at the scene have been approached for comment.
