A busy road in Beckenham will be closed for up to three weeks to build a site entrance and loading bay for a new Travelodge hotel.

Kelsey Park Road will be closed to traffic from Monday, March 11, for up to three weeks, while STD Civils carries out the works.

The new Travelodge hotel development will be situated on Beckenham High Street.

The point of the closure will be at the junction with High Street Beckenham and traffic will be diverted via Manor Road, Wickham Road and Court Downs Road in both directions.

There is no specified finish date, and nothing in the traffic order shall apply to a police officer in uniform or traffic warden.

It will also not apply to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

Access to properties will be maintained at all times, however vehicles will need to follow the diversion signs displayed on site while the closure is in place.

Emergency access and egress routes will be maintained at all times, and pedestrian access will be available at all times during the works.

Although the order will have a maximum duration of 18 months, it is expected that the actual works will take up to three weeks to complete.
