A four-car crash has caused long delays and miles of traffic on the M25 near Sevenoaks.

The incident happened between junctions four and five just before 6.15am today (February 20).

Police and National Highways officers attended and closures were put in place as they dealt with the crash.

Kent County Council Highways, warned motorists on X, formerly known as Twitter, to expect delays in the surrounding areas and approach with caution.

The incident caused six miles of traffic and long delays in the area but this has since cleared.

No injuries were reported following the incident.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Police were called at 6.14am on Tuesday 20 February to a collision involving four cars on the M25 between junctions 4 and 5.

“Patrols and highways officers attended the scene where no injuries were reported.

“Two of the cars were moved to the hard shoulder to await recovery.”
