While the infamous l'Entrecôte in Marylebone closes its doors for a refresh, the equally fabulous 108 Brasserie is stepping in with an epic steak and fries offer.

108 Brasserie has quickly become one of my favourite restaurants, and I was lucky enough to visit for a second time this week.

It’s one of those restaurants that you can go to with any type of craving and find something that suits, and I love how extensive and wide-ranging the menu is.

Although I don’t usually eat steak, my friend was desperate to take 108 up on their 6oz Bavette steak, French fries, salad and wine offer for £29 – and to be honest I can’t blame her because that is a steal.

News Shopper:

I went for the fish and chips after deliberating between that and the divine miso cod I had last time, and I really didn’t regret it.

The fish was HUGE and came on a bed of mushy peas, which I love, with a small basket of chips.

I was absolutely stuffed halfway through eating it but I persevered and finished most of it because I couldn’t bring myself to waste something so delicious.

News Shopper:

My friend absolutely loved her medium rare steak which came with a big portion of chips and a sauce of her choosing.

The salad was a generous portion of rocket, cucumber and avocado, and she enjoyed the red wine which went with it perfectly.

We were really full but after a short break it would have been rude not to have had the crème brulee which I will genuinely go as far as saying is the best I’ve ever had.

News Shopper:

We’ve had it at 108 Brasserie before and we’ve dreamed of it ever since – so we couldn’t leave without a try.

It was just as moist, creamy and delicious as before – and what can really be better than a winter meal of steak or fish and chips and a yummy dessert.
