London Ambulance Service has issued a statement after a stabbing in Crystal Palace.

A 13-year-old boy was found injured in Beulah Hill at around 5.30pm on January 22.

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews were called to the scene.

An advanced paramedic, an incident response officer, and a medic in a fast response car also attended.

The boy was treated at the scene and rushed to hospital.

His condition was later assessed as not life-threatening.

No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 5.28pm on Monday 22 January to reports of a stabbing on Harold Road, Upper Norwood.

“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer and a medic in a fast response car. We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated a patient at the scene and took them to a major trauma centre as a priority.”

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police are in Beulah Hill, junction with Spurgeon Road, after calls around 17:30hrs on January 22 to reports of a stabbing.

“A 13-year-old boy was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital; his injuries are not being treated as life-threatening or life-changing.

“At this early stage there have been no arrests.

“Police are working to establish what happened.

“Anyone who can help police is asked to call 101 ref CAD 5240/22 Jan.”
