Southeastern trains have faced disruption this morning after the fall-out of Storm Isha.

Services were affected from around 6pm last night (Sunday) until 6am today (January 22), after high winds at 50mph were imposed on services.

Multiple weather warnings, including two amber wind alerts, were put in place by the Met Office across the country for last night.

Rail, sea and air travellers were hit with disruption on Sunday, with closures, cancellations and delays across a number of services.

Damage to homes and buildings, falling trees, power cuts, flying debris, large waves and even some flooding were warned in some places.

Southeastern is today experiencing a “high” volume of messages due to disruptions across the area.

Fallen trees and debris have been reported at St Mary Cray, Hayes, Borough Green, Kearsney, Maidstone West, Sittingbourne, Aylesford, and Charing Cross this morning.
