I went to a luxury hotel in London for an indulgent roast dinner and felt like a celebrity.

The Hyatt Regency London The Churchill is in the heart of Marylebone and I visited Montagu Kitchen inside the hotel for its lavish Sunday roast offering.

I was awe-struck when I stepped inside of the hotel.

The high ceilings and chandeliers made me feel as though I had stepped into a Hollywood film.

The Sunday roast on offer here can be enjoyed by itself, or with starters and a dessert as well.

If you are looking for an added layer of luxury, you can opt for the bottomless bubbles as well.

While starters may not always be the part of the meal people are most excited for, these were to die for.

Staff at the restaurant bring you all of the starters to share so we could try a bit of everything.

My personal favourite was the burrata with confit tomatoes – it was creamy, sweet and delicious.

We were brought a boule of warm, sourdough bread which was scrumptious and came with whipped butter and hummus for you to dip it into.

The other plates were smoked salmon with capers and horseradish cream and a seasonal salad.

After polishing off our starters, we moved onto the main event.

All of the different elements were brought to our table so that we could construct our perfect plate without leaving our seats.

We were given perfectly pink roast beef, golden roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, tender stem broccoli, red cabbage and of course, our own small jugs of gravy.

When I tell you that these were the crispiest potatoes I have ever tasted that is no exaggeration – they were amazing.

I also loved the fact that the beef came with a bulb of roasted garlic to squeeze out and enjoy which, while it may not be traditional, was a favourite from me.

After dinner, we just about had space for something sweet.

I chose the cookie dough which came with yogurt ice cream while my boyfriend opted for the cheesecake with berries.

My cookie dough was warm and soft and the tartness from the yogurt meant that it wasn’t too sweet.

We also went for the bottomless bubbly alongside our meal and staff at the Montagu Kitchen made sure that our glasses were never empty – they were attentive and helpful.

If you are looking to celebrate an occasion or just to have a more glamorous Sunday, this is the spot for you.
