A man in his 30s has been rushed to hospital after stabbing in Crystal Palace.

The incident happened in Belvedere Road at around 1.30pm today (January 9).

Officers, London Ambulance Service crews, and an air ambulance attended and found a man injured.

He was taken to hospital for treatment where his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.

No arrests have been made following the incident.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at around 13.30hrs to Belvedere Road, Croydon to reports of a stabbing.

“Officers attended and discovered a man in his 30s with stab wounds. He was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

“An investigation has been launched by detectives from South Area Command.

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 3185/9Jan.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said:  “We were called today (9 January) at 1:30pm to reports of an incident on Belvedere Road, Anerley.

“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an incident response officer, an ambulance crew, and a medic in a fast-response car. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated a man at the scene, before taking him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
