An alleged drug dealer from Eltham has been charged after being arrested by plain-clothed police officers. 

Oluwamayomikun Ishola, 27, was apprehended by plain-clothed officers in Gillingham on January 4, while he was under surveillance for suspected cocaine supply around the Medway area.

He was detained after he was seen entering a vehicle on Mill Road.

Officers seized £145 in cash and later recovered crack cocaine deals plus a mobile phone from an address in London.

Oluwamayomikun Ishola, of Westhorne Avenue, Eltham, faces charges of being involved in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin between November 29, 2023 and January 4, 2024.

Ishola remains in custody, due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court on January 5.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “A suspected county line dealer has been charged following his arrest by plain clothes officers in Gillingham. Investigators targeting the supply of cocaine in Medway were on patrol on Thursday 4 January 2024, when they saw a suspect get into a car in Mill Road.

“They stopped the vehicle and the occupant was detained. The constables seized £145 in cash and later recovered a quantity of crack cocaine deals plus a mobile phone from an address in London.

“Oluwamayomikun Ishola, of Westhorne Avenue, Eltham, Greater London was later charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine between 29 November 2023 and 4 January 2024, and being concerned in the supply of heroin between the same dates.

“The 27-year-old was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 5 January.”
