A Metropolitan Police officer who harassed a woman has been sacked and given a restraining order.
PC Matthew Cosgrove, 45, of Shelduck Close in Rochester, was found guilty of harassment at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on September 27.
The offence took place between June 23, 2022 and August 12, 2022.
He was given a restraining order telling him not to contact the woman.
PC Cosgrove was also told to pay £1,000 in compensation and £1,000 in costs.
A Met Police misconduct hearing was held on December 13.
PC Cosgrove was found guilty of gross misconduct and was dismissed without notice.
