A paedophile who sexually assaulted teenage girls and said he deliberately sought out girls in school uniform has been jailed for two and a half years.

Mohammed Aminu, 25, committed three sexual assaults in the space of three days – two of the victims were teenage girls aged 14 and 16.

The sexual assaults all took place in Lewisham between March 22 and March 25 this year.

On March 23 Aminu also sent sexual messages to a 14-year-old girl asking her if she had ever had sex or had an orgy and telling her he had approached her because she was in school uniform.

Aminu, of Nightingale Grove in Hither Green, pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual assault by touching as well as engaging in sexual communication with a child.

These offences all took place just weeks after he was convicted of stalking a woman at Lewisham Shopping Centre.

The court heard that between May and July last year he stalked the woman at the shopping centre.

In February he was found guilty of that offence and in May he was jailed for six weeks.

At Woolwich Crown Court on Thursday (December 7) Aminu was sentenced to 30 months in prison for his latest crimes.

Once released he will be required to sign the sex offenders register for the rest of his life.
