The driver of a Vauxhall Corsa has died after a multi-vehicle crash on an A2 slip road.

Officers were called to the London bound A260 slip road, which joins the A2, at 6.40am today (October 18).

A blue BMW 3 Series was joining the A2 via the slip road when it was involved in a crash with a silver Vauxhall Corsa and a white DAF lorry.

The driver of the Vauxhall Corsa, a man in his 60s, died at the scene.

Officers are carrying out enquiries and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage taken to come forward.

Witnesses should call the SCIU appeal line on 01622 798538 quoting the reference HW/HM/113/23.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Investigators are seeking witnesses to a fatal collision on the A2 near Barham.

“Officers were called to the London bound A260 slip road, which joins the A2, at around 6.40am on Wednesday 18 October 2023.

“It was reported that a blue BMW 3 Series was joining the A2 via the slip road when it was involved in a collision with a silver Vauxhall Corsa and a white DAF lorry.

“The driver of the Vauxhall Corsa, a man in his 60s, died at the scene.

“Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are carrying out enquiries and would like to hear from anyone who might have witnessed the incident.

“They are also appealing for anyone with dashcam footage taken in the area around the time to come forward.”
