Remains found in Crystal Palace Park have been taken to hospital to establish whether or not they are human.
Police were called to Crystal Palace Park today (Wednesday, October 4) at 11.30am to reports of remains found.
A crime scene remains in place.
Enquiries into the circumstances continue.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at approximately 11:30hrs on Wednesday, 4 October to reports of remains found in Crystal Palace Park, SE19.
“The remains have been taken to a hospital where they will be examined to establish whether they are human.
“A scene remains in place at the park.
“Enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
