A child has been taken to hospital after a crash with a motorbike in Kidbrooke.

Police were called to Kidbrooke Park Road at 12.23pm on October 1 after reports of a crash between a child and a motorbike.

The five-year-old was treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital.

Police are awaiting an update on the child’s condition.

An investigation is currently underway and police have cordoned off the road.

The closure spans between Weigall Road and Henley Cross, with bus routes 178 and 335 diverted.

No arrests have been made at this stage, according to police.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called at 12:23hrs on Sunday, 1 October to a report of a collision between a child and a motorbike on Kidbrooke Park Road, Greenwich.

"Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and treated a five-year-old boy for injuries.

"He has been taken to hospital – we await an update on his condition.

"Enquiries are ongoing; no arrests have been made."
