A man in his 60s has been taken to hospital after an assault in Plumstead.

The incident happened in Plumstead Common Road at around 5.50pm on September 22.

Police and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a man with a head injury.

He was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at approximately 5.50pm on Friday. 22 September to reports of a man assaulted in Plumstead Common Road, SE18.

“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the man, aged in his 60s, was taken to hospital for treatment to a head injury – his condition is not life threatening.

“No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances continue.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC and quote CAD6177/22Sep.
