Police have issued an update on the condition of a man after a stabbing in Thornton Heath.

A man in his 20s was found injured in High Street, Thornton Heath just before 3.20pm yesterday (September 17).

He was taken to hospital for further treatment where his condition was initially unknown.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police confirmed today (September 18) that his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called by London Ambulance Service (LAS) to High Street, Thornton Heath, at 15.19hrs on Sunday, 17 September to reports of a stabbing.

“Officers attended. A man in his 20s was found with stab injuries. He has been taken to hospital and his condition has been assessed as not life-threatening.

“There have been no arrests.

“Enquiries continue.”
