Two people have been taken to hospital after a double stabbing inside a shop in Bromley.

Officers were called to reports of a man causing a disturbance in Burnt Ash Lane at 3.35pm today (September 11).

The suspect reportedly left the shop and returned a short time later before assaulting two people.

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found the pair with stab injuries.

They both were taken to hospital for treatment where their conditions are currently unknown.

A crime scene is in place following the incident.

No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at about 15:45hrs on Monday, 11 September to reports of a man causing a disturbance in a shop on Burnt Ash Lane in Bromley.

“The man left the shop and returned a short time later before assaulting two people.

“Officers attended and found two people with stab injuries.

“They have both been taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service; we await an update on their condition.

“A crime scene is in place.

“As this early stage, there have been no arrests and enquiries continue.”

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called on 11 September at 3:53pm to reports of an incident on Burnt Ash Lane, Bromley.

“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including three ambulance crews, a medic in a fast-response car, and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated two people at the scene and took them to a major trauma centre.”
