- The fire began at a waste transfer unit in Shakespeare Road at 2:09am.
- London Fire Brigade has said the fire is "protracted" and that fire crews will be at the scene throughout the day.
- 15 fire engines and around 100 firefighters are in attendance, with crews from Brixton, Clapham, West Norwood, Peckham and surrounding fire stations.
- The whole of the building is alight and has partially collapsed.
- 12 gas cylinders have been removed as a precaution, as they can explode when exposed to heat.
- Residents are urged to keep windows and doors closed where possible.
- People are being advised to "avoid" the area due to road closures.
