A BMW driver has been fined £461 after he was seen driving too close to the vehicle in front of him.
David Darko, 38, from Riverdale Road in Erith, did not attend a hearing at Bexley Magistrates’ Court after he was accused of driving without due care or attention.
In his absence, the evidence was reviewed and Darko the offence was found to be proved.
On November 4 last year it is said that he drove a BMW 3 Series on Eastern Way in Thamesmead.
He is said to have been driving so close to the vehicle in front that there was no reaction gap visible.
Darko was fined £461, ordered to pay a £184 surcharge and £620 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
He also had five points added to his driving record.
