A man has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Abbey Wood. 

Police were called just before 2pm today (July 18) to reports of a stabbing at the junction of Overton Road and Harrow Manorway.

The junction is near a BP Petrol Station and a Sainsbury's. Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service.

A man, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital with stab injuries. His condition is not life-threatening but could be life-changing.

A search of the area was carried out but no suspect was located. An investigation is under way and further enquiries are taking place.

Any witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting CAD 4139/18Jul.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called at 1.59pm on Tuesday, 18 July to reports of a stabbing at the junction of Overton Road and Harrow Manorway, SE2.

"Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service. A man, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital with stab injuries.

"His condition is not life-threatening but could be life-changing.

"A search of the area was carried out.

"No suspect was located.

"An investigation is under way and Further enquiries are taking place.
