A girl who was walking to school was approached by a man in Abbey Wood.
The incident is reported to have happened in Edington Road at around 10.15am on June 19.
The girl made her way to school and was unharmed.
Police are now working to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
It is unknown which school had reported the incident to the police.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “At approximately 10.15am on Monday, 19 June police were contacted by a school in Abbey Wood.
“They reported a pupil had informed them she had been approached by a man as she walked to school in the vicinity of Edington Road, SE2.
“The girl made her way to school and was unharmed.
“Officers are working to establish the full circumstances of the incident.”
