A new multi-screen cinema has opened in Sidcup this week, marking the first cinema in the town for 23 years.

Sidcup Storyteller opened its doors for the first time this week on Thursday (June 15) featuring several screens, as well as a café, bar, library and co-working space.

The cinema has been built on the site of a former Blockbuster Video shop, before the chain eventually closed in 2004.

The new venue comes as a partnership between London Borough of Bexley and independent operators Really Local Group.

Alongside the multi-screen cinema, the space also offers locals a chance to eat, drink, socialise and work, with its additional facilities setting it apart from other high street cinemas.
