Celebrities are set to come together to honour The Wanted singer Tom Parker’s memory by participating in a special charity football match on Father's Day at Bromley FC.

Jake Quickenden, Harry Judd, Ryan Thomas, Luca Bish and Ben Cohen are just some of the stars who will play at Tom's local club, Bromley FC, which is sponsored by Quantus.

The purpose of the match is to raise money for the brain tumour charity, Ahead of the Game Foundation, which is co-directed by Tom Parker’s widow, Kelsey.

This charity aims to provide mental, emotional, and financial support to cancer patients and their families in their darkest days.

Ahead of the Game Foundation had previously provided assistance to Tom, who passed away at the age of 33 on March 30 last year, 17 months after being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour.

Kelsey is determined to make this Father's Day a special celebration of Tom's memory for their children Aurelia, three, and Bodhi, two.

The family were all based in Petts Wood.

Kelsey said: “Father’s Day was a tough one for us as a family last year. I think I was still on autopilot and trying to get through each day.

“It was Tom’s day and he wasn’t here to celebrate with us and that was obviously very hard. This year will be different - it will be a celebration, with lots of families coming together, and for ours, a very special way to remember Tom.”

James Ryan, CEO of Quantus, said: “Supporting Kelsey and ‘Ahead Of The Game’ is an absolute honour for us.

“It’s going to be a fantastic family day out as we remember Tom Parker and other families who have lost loved ones to a brain tumour and of course raising those all important funds which will go towards integral research into finding a cure for this terrible disease.”

The charity match will take place on Sunday June 18 at Bromley FC, Hayes Lane, with gates open at 11am on June 18 and kick off at 12.30pm.

Tickets for the game cost £10 each for adults and £5 for children. Children under 12 are free with one paying adult.

Tickets are available to purchase online.
