A man in his 30s is fighting for his life after an incident on a bridge on the A2 in Eltham.

Concerns for the welfare of a man were raised at around 12.15pm yesterday (June 4).

Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended the scene near Falconwood Interchange.

The man was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as life-threatening.

Police urge that any footage relating to the incident is not shared or uploaded on social media.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 12:13hrs on Sunday, 4 June to concerns for the welfare of a man on a bridge over the A2, near to the Falconwood Interchange. 

“Officers attended along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service.

"A man, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition.

“We understand some people filmed the incident and we asked this is not shared on social media.”
