A “brutal” assault in Bermondsey has left a man in hospital with serious head injuries.
Police were called at around 6.25pm on Tuesday, May 16 after reports that a man in his 40s had been found with head and facial injuries on Janeway Place.
He was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the attack or saw anything out of the ordinary in the area at the time.

Detective Inspector Yasser Awad, from Central South BCU, said: “This appears to have been a brutal attack and one which has left the victim in a very serious condition in hospital.
“We are carrying our urgent enquiries to try and establish exactly what happened but we would like to hear from anyone who has information that could help our investigation.
“This includes anyone who might have CCTV or doorbell footage in the surrounding areas.”
