Southeastern has warned customers of travel disruptions with no trains running on Friday and limited services on Saturday amid industrial action.

Four strike days have been announced over the next month with ASLEF members striking today (May 12) and RMT members going on strike tomorrow (May 13).

Two further strike days have been announced with ASLEF members going on strike on May 21 and June 3.

Southeastern has warned customers that these strike days, if they go ahead, will cause disruptions to their services with no or limited services on certain days.

Southeastern has also said that even in the event that strike action is cancelled at short notice they “may not” be able to switch back to a normal timetable immediately.

Here’s everything you need to know if you’re planning on traveling on Friday and Saturday this week:

May 12

On Friday (May 12) Southeastern staff that are members of ASLEF will be taking industrial action.

Southeastern has advised that there will be no trains running and replacement buses will not be running on this day.

On Saturday (May 13) RMT members will be taking industrial action.

Southeastern has said that there will be a limited service on Saturday with only 58 out of 180 stations opening.

Southeastern has also said that there will not be an alternative bus replacement service for stations that are closed.

Customers are being advised to check before they travel and to expect “some disruption” during their commute.

The London, Stratford International and Ebbsfleet International to Ashford International, Canterbury West and Ramsgate service will also be running as well as the London to Bromley North, Orpington and Sevenoaks via Grove Park service.

Customers can claim a full refund for an unused ticket if they decide not to travel due to cancelation, delays or rescheduling after the ticket is purchased.
