London Ambulance Service has issued a statement after a 29-year-old man died in his car having been stabbed in broad daylight in Ladywell.

Yesterday (May 10) at 1:59pm, police and ambulance crews were called to the scene in Malyons Road where a man was found in a car with stab wounds.

A 29-year-old man died at the scene and his next of kin have been informed and are being supported by family liaison officers.

No arrests have been made and a post-mortem exam will take place in due course.

London Ambulance Service confirmed that several resources were despatched to the scene including three ambulances, an incident response officer, an advanced paramedic, and an Air Ambulance.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said on Wednesday: “Police were called at 13:59hrs on Wednesday, 10 May after a man was found with stab wounds in a car in Malyons Road, Ladywell.

“Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance.

“Despite their efforts, a 29-year-old man died at the scene.

“His next of kin have been informed and will be supported by specially trained family liaison officers.

“Detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command have been informed and enquiries to establish the circumstances are ongoing.

“A post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

“There have been no arrests.
