A man in his early 70s has been found dead in Orpington.
The incident happened in Beaumont Road just after 11.15am today (April 26).
Officers and London Ambulance Service were called to the scene and found a man dead.
His next of kin have been informed.
A post-mortem will take place in due course.
His death is being treated as unexpected and unexplained but not suspicious at this time.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Officers were called at 11:16hrs on Wednesday, 26 April to Beaumont Road, Petts Wood, Orpington.
“London Ambulance Service reported a man in his early 70s was deceased at the location.
“His next of kin have been informed.
“A post-mortem will take place in due course.
“The death is being treated as unexpected and unexplained but not suspicious at this time.”
