A man has been found dead at a home in Charlton.
Police were called to Wellington Gardens after concerns were raised for the welfare of the occupant and officers discovered a man's body inside the property.
The police are treating the death as “unexpected” but have ruled out any suspicious circumstances.
The man is yet to be identified.
The police are continuing their enquiries to inform the man's next of kin, and at this stage, the cause of death has not been determined.
Enquiries into the circumstances continue.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at approximately 19:25hrs on Tuesday, 18 April after concerns were raised for the welfare of the occupant of an address in Wellington Gardens, SE7.
“Officers attended and found a man deceased inside the address.
“The death is currently being treated as unexpected, but not suspicious.
“Enquiries are ongoing to identify and inform next of kin.
“Enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing.”
