Emergency services have flocked to an incident at a residential block in Woolwich.
Concerns for the welfare of a man were raised in Herbert Road at 4.20pm today (March 28).
Officers and London Fire Brigade were called to the scene.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police confirmed that the man is now safe.
The incident was over for firefighters at just before 5.20pm.

One fire engine from Plumstead Fire Station attended the scene.
Herbert Road currently remains partially blocked, according to AA maps.
We have contacted London Ambulance Service for further information.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Calls at 16.20 - concerns for welfare of a man at a window in a residential block, he is back inside now. “
The full statement from London Fire Brigade reads: “We were called by the Metropolitan Police to an incident on Herbert Road in Woolwich.
“The Brigade was called at 1633 and the incident was over for firefighters by 1718.
“A fire engine from Plumstead Fire Station attended the scene.”
