COMMUTERS should expect delays and cancellations to their journeys following a fire in South Norwood this morning.
Six fire engines and 30 firefighters attended a fire in an industrial area on Tennison Road in South Norwood at 8.20am.
Scaffolding, tyres and a lorry were alight and a number of cylinders were also involved.
A 200m hazard zone was set up as a precautionary measure as cylinders can explode when exposed to heat.
Railway lines have now reopened but there are likely to be short notice delays and cancellations as diverted trains are put back in place.
Stations running services affected include New Cross Gate, Brockley, Honor Oak Park, Forest Hill, Sydenham, Penge West and Anerley.
