ST COLUMBA'S School rocks - and that's official.
The Catholic boys' school in Halcot Avenue, Bexleyheath, picked up four awards at the recent Rock Challenge held at the Hackney Empire.
This is a national event run by the Be Your Best Foundation, which encourages young people to make the best of their lives without using tobacco, alcohol and other drugs.
Each entrant had to devise, choreograph and perform a piece of dance or drama.
The St Columba's group of 45 pupils, aged from 11 to 13, chose racism as their theme.
They highlighted the issue of judging people by the colour of their skin.
St Columba's picked up overall second place for its efforts.
The school also took three other awards - for best choreography, best concept interpretation and the performers' choice award, voted for by all the other groups taking part.
