WILDLIFE habitats in the borough are being surveyed.
Three studies of the area, due to take place from spring to autumn this year (CHECK), aim to give Bromley Council a better understanding of habitats such as woodlands, ponds and acid grassland.
The surveys, being carried out by The London Wildlife Trust, take in urban and rural areas of open land over half an acre as part of a project covering the whole of the capital.
Alister Hayes, the council's world heritage bid manager, said: "It is important for us to audit the wide range of species and habitats we have across the borough, so we can keep track on how they change over time.
"The three surveys will allow us to target action to help conserve these areas."
