RESIDENTS can nominate charities and community groups to receive funding from a foundation's cash giveaway.
The Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation is marking its 10th birthday by donating £2.7m to more than 5,600 charities.
People are invited to drop-in to the society's branch in Bexleyheath's Broadway to recommend one of the town's charities or community groups to receive a £50 donation.
Manager at the branch, Dan Thomas, said: "We hold a similar event each year and donated a massive £43,000 last year to over 770 nominated local good causes.
"I hope this year's event rivals this success and that people will call into a our branch to nominate their favourite local charity. Together we can really make a difference."
