A RAILWAY safety DVD will be launched next week.
Track Off, a national safety campaign aiming to highlight the dangers of trespassing on railways, made the 10 minute film in collaboration with the British Transport Police.
The film will warn children about the consequences of railway crime following the death of a young girl on the lines.
British Transport Police school's liaison officer PC Graham Cottington said: "If this DVD results in one other young person hearing the railway safety message, then that's one less time that officers like me will have to grace the doorstep of loving families."
The officer regularly visits many schools in the News Shopper area educating young people about these dangers.
Jade's Story will be released next Thursday (June 19) and is a tribute to Jade Kenyon.
The 17-year-old died while taking a short cut to her home in Snodland, Kent, after missing the last train.
