Over the years a lot of nightclubs have opened in Bromley, but not all have stood the test of time and remain open today.

After facing the pandemic, many were forced to shut doors for good, seeing Bromley High Street become home to many derelict buildings.

Although some have been transformed into venues and given a new life, some remain empty waiting for the right buyer to come along.

But, not too long ago many of the now lonely buildings were regularly filled with people dancing, enjoying a drink, singing and many more sights.

Many will miss seeing the popular places be home to a lively atmosphere, but we've taken a quick step back in time to look back on those places that are home to many happy and some embarrassing memories.

The closed-down nightclubs of Bromley

Jazzmin's

This pub come club closed back in 2010 and later became Creams seeing a pint swapped for an ice cream cone.

Jazzmin's was most known for its offering of a free finger food buffet which is most likely why it typically saw long queues during the weekend.

There was also the chance to sing at their Sunday night karaoke or to dance late into the morning on their classic sticky dance floor.

Bibas

Bibas nightclub did close, however, it was transformed into a new club called Ora.

But many say it lost the atmosphere of its origin, as Bibas offered a mix of entertainment for a wide range of ages all to enjoy.

With its basement design, the club had a karaoke bar and even had a 'chill out' upper level, perfect for all.

Walkabout

This chain bar turned club was a great place to catch up with friends, and enjoy a drink and some food whilst enjoying the Saturday night party atmosphere.

Plus on a Sunday, Walkabout hosted great live band seasons but what the bar is most known for is its offering to have your picture taken and printed out in laminate for you.

The space later reopened as a sports bar which was forced to close its doors, seeing the area remain empty for years.

The Avenue

One for the trendy people, The Avenue had a unique design with the whole front being completely glass.

The bar was open during the mid 00's and although it didn't last long, many visited frequently with memories of ripped jeans, high heels and heavy eye makeup attached to the space.
