A gym in Dartford has been evacuated and forced to close due to a technical fault.

David Lloyd gym, in Darenth Road, is currently without power following an issue with the electrical substation.

In a statement from the gym it has notified members that the club is now closed until further notice.

It has confirmed that UK Power Networks engineers are on their way to investigate the issue.

It asks anyone to refrain from emailing the club as all communication lines are currently down.

It also shows queues of cars waiting to leave the gym following the closure.

It is unknown when the Dartford gym will reopen.
