A CONSUMER watchdog has praised the council's seatbelt advice centre.
Bromley Council runs a child car seat centre in the Civic Centre, Stockwell Close. Safety officers provide advice to parents and retailers on how to install a children's car seat.
Most stores in Bromley which sell child seats display certificates to show their staff have been trained by the council.
Consumer watchdog Which? says similar schemes such as this should be set up throughout the UK.
Senior researcher David Evans said: "We would like to see schemes like Bromley's rolled out across the country."
