TWO men have been charged with sexually abusing children at a home in Lewisham borough more than 25 years ago.

The case concerns eight children, mainly boys, who were at the children's home between 1971 and 1983.

John Darby, aged 71, from Norfolk, was charged yesterday (June 10) with 46 offences of sexually abusing children.

Andrew Chambers, aged 65, from Kent, had already been charged with 10 counts of sexually abusing a child and was yesterday charged with a further eight offences.

Both men have been bailed and will appear at Greenwich Magistrates' Court on June 20.
