TWO thugs who attacked a taxi driver when he tried to stop them running off without paying have been jailed.
Wayne Gunn, aged 31, and Estan Bygraves, aged 27, got in the cab after a drinking session.
When driver Homayon Ahmadi tried to stop them escaping without paying they turned and repeatedly punched him, leaving him with cuts and bruises to his face and a fractured hand.
He needed six weeks off work following the attack in Loampit Vale, Lewisham, on September 2 last year and no longer picks up from private addresses.
The pair pleaded not guilty to causing Mr Ahmadi actual bodily harm but were convicted by a jury at Blackfriars Crown Court on Friday (June 6).
Father-of-two Bygraves, of Wickham Road, Brockley, was jailed for 15 months.
Gunn, a father-of-three, of Tyrwhitt Road, Brockley, was jailed for 18 months for ABH and also causing criminal damage to Mr Ahmadi's car.
