A 33-year-old man has died in a crash with a car in Bexley.

On February 17, at 5:17am police were called to the scene of a crash at Eastern Way in Bexley.

Police and ambulance crews attended the scene.

A pedestrian had been involved in a crash with a silver Vauxhall Corsa traveling east towards Erith.

The pedestrian, a 33-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Met Police say his next of kin have been informed and no arrests have been made.

The driver is currently aiding police officers with their enquiries and detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are investigating the incident.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who saw the collision or may have captured CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.

Any witnesses should call the SCIU at Catford Traffic Garage on 020 82851574 quoting the reference 1003/17FEB2023.

A spokesperson for Met Police said: “Police were called at 05:17hrs on Friday, 17 February to reports of a collision at Eastern Way, SE28.

“Officers and London Ambulance Service [LAS] attended. At the scene a silver coloured Vauxhall Corsa, travelling east toward Erith, had been in collision with a pedestrian.

“The 33-year-old male pedestrian was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

“The driver of the car is assisting officers with their enquiries.

“There were no arrests.
